    Date : 19 Jan 2019

    Dear BSTs,

Invitation: The Department of Development – Simulation Training in Communication on 19 January 2019 (Saturday)

The College of Surgeons embraces a mission to uphold a high level of surgicalstandard for the best patient safety. To maximize learning opportunities for our young surgeons while minimizing the risks to patients, we have therefore set up a Task Force on Simulation in Surgical Training in 2010 to develop and devise simulation-based programme to our trainees.

Following the success of simulation training in Acute Abdomen workshop, I am pleased to announce that communication is the second step of launching the program and the first workshop will be held on 19 January 2018 (Sat).

The workshop aims at providing interactive learning on communication skills by simulating real-life scenarios. Individuals would go through scenarios by rotation, discuss the scenarios directly with and gain valuable perspectives from different experienced trainers in respective stations which we believe the workshop would benefit your communication skills.

Details of the workshop are as below:

    Date : 19 January 2019 (Saturday)

    Time : 9:00am – 1:00pm

Venue : 5/F, HKAM Jockey Club Building, 99 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong
